About Holmes Stamp & Sign

Holmes Stamp & Sign is a family owned small business based out of Jacksonville, FL. What may have begun way back in 1954 in the cramped garage of Owen Holmes Jr., has since expanded into the powerhouse manufacturing company it is today.

After 44 years in the business, the Holmes family sold the business to one of their own in 1998 - Bob Croft, who started out at Holmes Stamp & Sign in 1975 as a delivery driver - and his son Bryan Croft who graduated UNF with a B.A. in Marketing. By 1998 Bob and Bryan Croft were ready to assume ownership and dedicate themselves to the task of bringing Holmes Stamp & Sign successfully into the 21st Century.

Our team is made up of a diverse group of people. Our company has over 60 employees, some of whom had had a career with the company spanning 40 years. We have evolved into creating customized products, mostly office products, but our core root is in rubber stamps and signs. Over the past few years we have expanded our customization with coffee mugs, posters, banners, mouse pads, iPhone covers, Yeti cups, etc. Whatever is hot we are going to make it and sell it!

Our facility is appointed with state-of-the-art equipment which includes: laser and rotary engravers, UV printers, large-format digital printers, digital sublimation printers, and so much more. If you want to add that special touch to any item, then we've got you covered! Our team is always up for the challenge.

We are located in the heart of Jacksonville, FL. We may not be the fancy fast-pace of NYC or Miami, but we have a great family environment with a beautiful growing city with lots of culture.

Holmes Stamp Company is a Jacksonville, Florida based multi-million-dollar ecommerce, retail, and wholesale business that has been employing a local work force since 1954. Originally Holmes Stamp and Sign, the Company was the go-to source for personalized stamps, custom signs, name tags, and corporate awards and gifts and is launching a new brand and parent company: Holmes Custom. With investment in equipment that can personalize just about anything, the product offering has evolved to include thousands of customizable products, beyond the traditional business offering into a personal arena. Since the growth of internet retailing, the company has focused on selling on 4 core web brands (Holmes Custom.com, Simply Stamps.com, Custom Signs.com and Name Tag Wizard.com) as well as MarketPlace sites (Amazon, eBay, Etsy).

SEO Manager

Full Time – Monday – Friday, 8:00 am – 5 pm


HSC is seeking an SEO Manager who is responsible for identifying and executing opportunities to improve our 4 core web brands content search rank. The SEO manager will manage both on-site and off-site SEO.

Job Duties & Responsibilities
  • Fully understands the brand voice, brand guidelines, mission and vision statement of each of our four web-brands
  • Produces a comprehensive technical SEO analysis of website/assets to facilitate the development of clear, actionable optimization roadmaps. Performs ongoing keyword discovery, expansion and optimization.
  • Recommend changes to website architecture, content, linking and other factors to improve SEO positions for target keywords.
  • Implements technical SEO best practices to keep the website easy to crawl and index
  • Develops white-hat link earning and amplification strategies geared toward building brand awareness across the web while strengthening organic ranking signals
  • Collaborates with content writers and blog contributors to drive the search strategy. Optimize copy and landing pages for search engine marketing.
  • Manage organic search engine performance and goal setting based on site impressions, click through rates, traffic and conversions
  • Stays up to date with the latest trends in SEO and major search engines
The SEO manager will report to the Brand Site Manager.

  • BA/ BS Required
  • Excellent knowledge of leading industry software & tools, such as Searchmetrics, BrightEdge, Screaming Frog, Keyword Planner, Google Search Console, Google Analytics, Majestic SEO, A-hrefs, Accuranker, Deep Crawl, Cognitive SEO and more
  • Ability to work with deadlines
  • Self-motivated and able to work both individually and as part of a team
  • Strong analytical and communication skills
  • Experience in working with multi-channel marketing team

Email Marketing Manager

Full Time – Monday – Friday, 8:00 am – 5 pm


HSC is seeking an Email Marketing Manager who has strong analytical and communications. The email marketing manager will be responsible for planning and executing email campaigns across four web brands, maintaining a healthy list, growing the list, and segmenting customers for personalized marketing. The email marketing manager will be responsible for A/B testing and keeping up to date with best email marketing practices, reporting analytical data and measuring effectiveness of each campaign.

Job Duties & Responsibilities
  • Fully understand the brand voice, brand guidelines, mission and vision statement of each of our four web-brands
  • Plan email campaigns across four brands. Write campaign goals and objectives.
  • Manage customer list and database, clean up and maximize for healthy list. Reduce SPAM complaints.
  • Develop customer segmentation for personalization and remarketing strategy
  • Manage the trigger email program throughout the customer lifecycle to maximize sales, including on-going tests of new copy and delivery timing; and, monitoring and reporting of results
  • Develop testing roadmap for improved email optimization
  • Test email creative content and list segmentation to determine most effective execution. A/B Testing.
  • Monitor, report and track email performance metrics (i.e. open rates, click-through rates and conversion rates) to key stakeholders. Analyzing performance data and making recommendations for improved performance
  • Evaluate new opportunities to evolve the email program and ensure that it is best-in-class
  • Develop and execute inbound marketing strategies and create lead generation pieces. Actively pursue growth of email list.
The email marketing manager will report to the Brand Site Manager to plan campaigns and will work with the Creative Director for graphic needs.

  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience with similar position
  • Strong analytical and communication skills
  • Experience in working with multi-channel marketing team
  • Strong Microsoft Excel ability
  • Ability to execute independently yet collaboratively
  • Self-starter able to negotiate fast past environment while still paying attention to detail
