Bookplate Stamp – Rubber Stamps Make Wonderful Bookplates

Avid readers can have difficulty keeping track of their many books. Consider a personalized rubber stamps to help manage that collection. A rubber stamp can be used to create a beautiful and permanent bookplate for the inside cover of a book.

Most bookplates are adhesive based. For a large collection, it can be a time consuming process to attach individual bookplates to each book. A rubber stamp is a quick, easy alternative to provide a means of identification for the owner of a book. Unlike a paper bookplate, which can detach from the book should the adhesive deteriorate with time, a rubber stamped bookplate remains in place providing a permanent label in the book.

Many people loan books from their personal collections to friends and family members hoping someone else will enjoy the book as much as they did. Unfortunately, the book often gets lost along the way and never finds its way back "home" to the original owner. A stamped inscription in the front of the book eliminates this.

Children especially appreciate seeing their names stamped into their treasured books. A rubber stamp designed just for them provides a fun way to ensure that each special book remains a part of their own collection.

There are many choices when it comes to designing a rubber stamp for use as a bookplate. "From the Library of . . ." is a popular choice. Will the stamp be used with a family collection? Perhaps a simple stamp of the family name, such as "The Smith Family," would be appropriate. Whether the rubber stamp is personalized to include a first name, last name, nickname or personal quote, the possibilities are endless.

Whomever the bookworm may be, a rubber stamp bookplate may be just the thing for maintaining those treasured book collections.
