Types of Hand Stamps

Hand stamps have been around for years making life easier for billions of people around the world. They are used in small businesses, large corporations, schools, and even at home. You may be wondering now what types of hand stamps can be used by all these people. The answer is most of them.

We recommend that if you do not otherwise use stamps, you start with a self inking stamp as it fully functional on its own and eliminates the need for a stamp pad. On the other hand, if you have lots of stamps that are used frequently, or have the need to use a variety of colors for the impressions, a traditional stamp would work great for you.

A break down of the various types of hand stamps include:

Address Stamps: Address stamps are used for all businesses and for individuals. An address stamp will display your name/company, address, and zip code. These stamps can be used for return addresses on mail or any important document that needs your address. The imprint can be as plain or stylish as you desire.

Notary Stamps: All important documents need the stamp from a licensed notary. These stamps can also be plain to fancy and can include such items as the name of the notary, the state, the county, the date, and of course the signature of the notary along with the expiration date of their commission.

Date Stamps: Dater stamps are used of course to place the date on important documents, home school paper and tests, or to just remind you when you paid a bill. Many of these are created with wheels that you turn for the date.

Deposit Stamps: Deposit Stamps let the bank know to deposit the check in your account or your company’s account. In most cases, the stamp will be 4 to 6 lines and will include the words “For Deposit Only” along with the name of the bank, the city and state in which the bank is located, the company name or individual name, the bank account number of the company or individual.

Logo Stamps: A logo stamp is a stamp that imprints your company logo on various papers that you send to prospective customers, envelopes, letterheads, or other important documents.

Signature Stamps: Signature stamps are just what they say they are. They are your signature placed on a hand stamp so you no longer have to write your name a thousand times a day. You can easily just stamp any document with your signature and make it personal.

Inspection Stamps: Inspections stamps imprint a number or other code on products to show they have passed the inspection process, which instills the quality of the product to your customers.

Common Stock Stamps: Common stock stamps are stamps that imprints such words as Air Mail, Approved, Cancelled, Classified, Client’s Copy, C.O.D., Completed, Confidential, Copy, Copy For Your Information, Credit, Distributed, Do Not Bend, Draft, Duplicate, E-Mail, Entered, or a variety of other words that you might need to place on documents.

This list of hand stamps that are used on a daily basis around the world is endless and you can create your own personal hand stamps to help make your life just a bit easier.
